This was the second year we have attended the Ballarat Beer Festival and it never fails to live up to expectations.
It’s a cracker of a day and the weather was just perfect, for a mix of great beer, cider, food and live bands.
The organisers changed the layout of the festival, using up the whole of the City Oval and it was a great improvement on last year.
The favourite beer for the day was Kooinda Brewery “Hop Transfusion IPA”. The better half loved the Pineapple and Mango cider.
The crowd was very well behaved and the event is family friendly. Ample room for everyone.
A kids zone with face painting, mini zoo, jumping castle, train rides etc. keeps the little ones happy.
A big plus to this years festival was the biggest marquee I’ve ever seen, smack bang in the middle which offered a great place to sit and relax out of the sun.
I caught up with four good friends that I haven’t seen in years and we were able to enjoy some great conversation about what we’ve all been up to. Might have to plan a 25 year high school reunion next year.
So will we be back next year??? Absolutely. Click the beer glass below to go straight to the Beer Festival Website.
We stayed with some very good friends who offered us their backyard for a location to park our van. Look at that for a view to wake up to. I’m very jealous of those towering gums. Thanks guys. Again we had an amazing time catching up with you all.
